Part of my Topographic inspired collection, this vase features a unique, free handed design that resembles the lines on a topographic map.
I apply a flexible tape to the piece before applying several layers of glaze, once the glaze has dried, the tape is removed to reveal the design.
The piece is then fired up to 1250c. The pattern highlights the beautiful contrast between glaze and bare clay on the outside, while the inside is fully glazed.
Ideal to hold a bouquet of fresh blooms, a dried arrangement or simply to adorn a shelf or favourite nook
Snow is a beautiful warm white, satin matte glaze. The speckles from the clay show through adding extra interest to a perfect neutral palette
