I use real fern leaves, foraged from different locations around Queenstown to make these tumblers. Each leaf is carefully selected based on size/ shape And then pressed into the clay and highlighted with white underglaze. The inside is glazed with food safe satin matte white, while the the outside remains unglazed to show off my signature speckled buff clay
These are really special pieces and I don't make them in huge batches as I only pick a few leaves at a time so the plants can recover and remain to be enjoyed by others...
